Vision before Reality

So, it's the tail-end of 2008, and no, I have not yet been to Italy. I've dreamed of going there for the past few years, and plan to see Venice, Rome, and Florence. I'm fascinated by the history and beauty of Italy. Since "all roads lead to Rome," and almost all of the modern world has been influenced in part by Rome, I feel drawn to see where it happened.

Someday in the next few years, I will have a Venetian adventure to share. I have a poster of Venice above my bed so I can visualize it and make it happen. I believe in the power of visualization because in 2004 I kept an Eiffel Tower poster above my bed and in 2006, during a study abroad experience which I scrimped and saved for, I got to visit France for a week and got a picture with it. Dreams come true.

For now, as a step to make it happen, I'll just reserve the blog name.
